Marquetta T. Hemphill, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, is an author, speaker, and
marketing leader who uses her journey to inspire others to embrace purpose, resilience,
and authenticity. She is the author of I Got Donuts, a story that uplifts readers by showing
how challenges can be transformed into growth and confidence. Through her brand, I Got
Donuts! she shares the message that “the mission is purpose, not pastries,” creating
spaces where all people feel seen, valued, and empowered.
She is also the founder of Brand U: Career & Leadership Academy, a nonprofit preparing
youth and professionals from all backgrounds for leadership, career growth, and personal
success. With plans to expand Brand U across Georgia and Mississippi, her vision is to
equip the next generation with mentorship, skills, and opportunities to thrive.
Marquetta is also the host of Donutology: Unboxed and Unapologetic, a podcast that
explores authenticity, empowerment, and purpose through candid conversations and
storytelling. As the podcast grows, she plans to create a global platform that brings voices
together to spark change, challenge mindsets, and inspire transformation.
