Dr. T. Lee Curry is a clinical neuropsychologist with over two decades of experience working with children and families in school and clinical settings. After the birth of her 2 children, Martin (6) and Rayan (3)-who serve as co-authors, Dr. Curry realized the importance of students and families being able to see themselves in the books they read. This is what led to the creation of the ERASER School series, SPARRK series, and the Little ERASER books. These are children’s books that focus on daily functioning and difficulties that any child or family could experience, with or without a clinical diagnosis. These books address topics including managing frustration, tolerating change, weather fears, non-literal language, and family-based time management. These are also all topics that the authors have experienced, and to some degree are continuing to work through. Dr. Curry, Martin, and Rayan hope that their creations will help introduce children and families to the skills that can help them navigate and thrive in their homes, schools, and communities.
