Gamel Toussaint DeWese is the Founder and CEO of The Helping Hand Travels LLC, a
behavioral health organization committed to transforming lives through education, emotional
support, and behavior modification. With nearly four decades of experience in mental and
behavioral health, Mr. DeWese has served as a supervisor of two Acute Adult Mental Health
Crisis Stabilization Units, working with multidisciplinary teams to support individuals in crisis.
He is a Certified Peer Specialist in Mental Health, Certified Youth Mental Health First Aider,
Certified Anger Management and Behavior Modification Specialist, CPR Instructor, and trained
Psychological First Aider. Mr. DeWese specializes in helping individuals manage anxiety and
emotional dysregulation. He is also the author of Beyond the Rage and From Triggers to
Triumph, powerful resources on emotional intelligence, anger management, and personal growth.
As Chair of the Health & Wellness Committee for the Gwinnett NAACP, he continues to
champion mental wellness and community resilience across Georgia.
