PAT PEOPLES SMITH

Although a native of Virginia, Pat Peoples Smith called Gwinnett County “home”
for 32 years before she and her husband moved to Douglasville in 2021. She was
an occupational therapist in Gwinnett Schools, working with special needs
children in over 50 schools during her tenure.
While her degrees in occupational therapy and counseling touched the lives of
people in personal ways, Pat’s childhood loves were math and short-story writing.
It was no coincidence that her first book, “Snowball Investing: Wealth That Won’t
Retire When You Do,” combined these two loves, where Pat traces her journey of
eliminating debt while sprinkling humorous and heart-warming life stories along
the way.
Pat’s encounter with the Scribblers Christian Book Writers’ Group (originated in
Norcross) gave her the encouragement to finish her first book and roll right into
completion of a children’s book on saving money! Bronnie the dinosaur is waiting
to show your child what happens when his dollar is saved for a long time!
Pat has spent the past four years poring historical research into her forthcoming
book which will hit the alleged American issues of racism, slavery, and oppression
head-on, with an ultimate solution that will bring this nation to its knees.
In her spare time, Pat enjoys reading, working jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and
expanding her Reliv wellness business. She continues to serve children via
telehealth therapy services.
